Job description:


The Medical and Allied Health Receptionist is responsible for providing a knowledgeable, professional and friendly experience for all clients, and providing administrative support to our doctors and clinicians.

We have a fulltime Medical Office Assistant (MOA) that supports our physicians, we are looking for parttime added administrative support for our team.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and interacting with patients over the phone and in person.
  • Collecting personal information from patients and entering it in the electronic system (Jane and Oscar).
  • Scheduling appointments for patients.
  • Validating patients' payment methods.
  • Updating patients' health records.
  • Ensuring clinic cleanliness.
  • Maintaining detailed confidential client records.
  • Liaising with third party insurers.
  • Other administrative and front desk duties as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of EMR systems, especially Jane and Oscar.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and also in a small collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to address patient concerns and challenges with compassion and resilience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion.

Education & Experience:


  • Medical Office Assistant training from VCC (or comparable training)
  • Minimum of 1 years of administrative experience in the healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Be proficient with computers systems (Accuro and JaneApp).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Qualifications:


  • Be able to multitask in a fastpaced environment and be able to work well on their own.
  • Be personable, professional & attentive to detail.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy and hardworking.

Hours

  • Currently looking for inperson shifts from 3:00 pm 8:30 pm two days a week and for coverage when our fulltime MOA is away.
  • Clinic is open Monday
  • Saturday from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm

Job Types:

Salary:
$19.00-$23.00 per hour
