Adventure Construction, a part of the Terus Construction Group, is currently looking for a Loader Operator for their Quarry Operation in Prince Rupert.

Purpose:

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating a front-end loader, excavating and loading materials to and from stockpiles, as well as assisting the crusher crew with daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

Load materials from stockpiles onto appropriate piles and trucks.
Safely operate all heavy equipment.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Conduct pre-operation inspections, clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as needed.
Maneuver heavy equipment for loading and unloading operations.
Comply with the company's safety program and policies.
Fulfill any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in crushing operations within the Aggregate Industry.
Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of jaw and cone crushers, as well as screening equipment.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and self-motivation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding and fast-paced environment while promoting a safe workplace.
Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
Capable of performing equipment maintenance tasks like lubrication, belt splicing, and cleaning.
Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
Physically fit to lift 50lbs or more, work in various weather conditions, confined spaces, at heights, and wearing proper PPE and steel-toed shoes.
First Aid & WHMIS certifications are an asset.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time permanent position that may involve overtime, weekend work, day and night shifts, and on-call availability as required by business needs.
