Customer Service Clerk

We are looking for a qualified _Customer Service Clerk_
to join our team in a full time position (temporary) to help us achieve our goals. The Customer Service Clerk will serve as a point of contact for customers throughout the customer's move journey.

Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to high quality customer service and provide experienced administrative support.
Will be required to travel to our Kingston office for training.

Key Duties:
General office duties

- filing, making copies, data entry, collecting payments/deposits and petty cash

  • Sales support
- respond to and track incoming sales leads, schedule surveys and guide customers through the moving process and answer questions they may have

  • Set up and complete Bills of Lading and work orders as required
  • Prepare move files for upcoming orders
  • Confirm arrival time of crews for upcoming moves
  • Assist with government contract orders as required
  • Liaise with other relevant stakeholders, e.g. Van Line, Base Traffic, other service providers, etc. to support service delivery and ongoing business functions

Key Skills:

  • Telephone/reception—fielding and distributing calls and inquiries in a knowledgeable, friendly, professional and effective manner
  • Communication—positive, clear, good listener
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable and able in learning new software to complete tasks
  • Eager and willing to learn new tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Sales (retail, telephone) experience an asset
  • Household goods moving and storage familiarity/experience a plus
  • OSSD (or equivalent) required; some postsecondary preferred
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Valid G licence
- travel to Kingston required
