- Manage a team of crossfunctional members focusing on specific tasks
- Monitor functional departments and partner activities
- Ensure Program milestones are achieved within budget
- Identify key Program issues and provide the necessary planning and leadership to resolve these issues
- Participate in program reviews with partners to assess program progress, program risk and ensure that commitments are being achieved
- Prepare and present regular program updates for senior management
- Initiate/ lead special case studies (i.e. financial impacts, projections, scheduling, etc.)
- Manage closure of major issues and document lessons learned
- Provide general direction for program setting priorities
- Challenge and initiate design reviews to ensure program objectives are met within budget
- Lead the development of statement of work for the project
- Validate key assumptions & constraints and manage risk items, with corresponding risk mitigation/reduction strategies
- Develop and implement control mechanisms to capture costs (labor, material and ODC) and monitor project performance
- Establish project schedule and develop strategy for implementation plan
- Develop tools for tracking of deliverables and progress of activities
Qualifications
- You have a university degree in engineering, business administration or an equivalent; with minimum of 5 years of professional work experience.
- You have, ideally, over 5 years' experience in program or project management
- You have strong leadership qualities with cross functional skills
- You have indepth knowledge of aircraft development and production
- You have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- You can coordinate and lead effective meetings and presentations
- You are computer literate, particularly in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project) with knowledge of data base management, scheduling and spreadsheets
- You must be proactive, results oriented and innovative with a strategic vision & a view to business improvements
