Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Heavy Duty Machine Operator to join our team.

Heavy Duty Machine operator operate heavy equipment used for construction and maintenance of road, bridges, buildings and other structures; and in material handling work.


Responsibilities:

You are responsible for wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, excavators, dozers, and Skid steers, and other materials during construction and related activities in a safe manner
  • Operate bulldozers or other heavy equipment to clear brush and stumps prior to logging activities and build roads
  • Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread or compact concrete, asphalt and other surface materials during construction
  • Conduct preoperational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in
  • Working knowledge with reading plans and understanding grades
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Safetyfocused attitude with experience working in a construction setting.
  • Common Core Certified and Worker Safety Awareness would be an asset
  • Previous experience in machine operations or related experience
  • AZ License (nice to have)
  • Safety conscious and knowledgeable about health and safety practices
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Previous completion of the applicable MCTU training is an asset
  • Previous experience in similar role is an asset
  • Experience in Asphalt and Concrete paving industry is preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods of time

$35.00-$40.00 per hour
