The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for a

_Shipper / Receiver _with large earthworks construction projects experience.

Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks and mine construction contractor in Canada.

Hours: 40+ hrs. / week (Overtime when required)

_ Duties_

  • Print daily sales receipts and crosscheck with computer software to ensure accuracy.
  • Review and action "Scanman" items as required.
  • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.
  • Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped.
  • Affix proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping.
  • Receive items and inform and inform responsible personnel of its arrival.
  • Process orders based on the buyer's preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with couriers and expediters.
  • Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package.
  • Monitor all shipped items as to their whereabouts, both to and from the office.
  • Process weekly updates on PO reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
  • Assist the procurement section on an as needed basis.
  • Other office duties as assigned.

_Qualifications_

  • Minimum of one (1) years' experience in a similar role,
  • High School diploma / GED required;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A high level of organizational skills;
  • Pursues continual improvement;
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.;
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset;
  • Transportation of Dangerous goods certificate is considered an asset;
  • Capable of working a consistent schedule 8:00 4:30;
  • Heavy Civil project experience is a definite asset.
  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written;
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License;
  • Have experience as requested in the job description above.
  • Resided in Edmonton, AB. or greater Edmonton region.
