Position Summary:
Acuren is currently recruiting for API 510 Inspectors to support projects in the Fort McMurray area. If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.


Position Information:


Project Based/Outage**- Call Out/Project based

  • 6/1 Shift Rotation, 12 hours/day
  • Project starting Mid-May
  • May require travel to various work site locations throughout Fort McMurray
  • Accommodations and travel provided

Responsibilities:


  • Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
  • Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
  • Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
  • Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements:


  • CWB Level 2 Inspector endorsed to ASME Section VIII1 and/or B31.3 (B31.1 is also acceptable)
  • API 510
  • Experience in pressure vessel and/or piping repairs
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII.Div.1, IX,II, CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes is an asset
  • Knowledge of NDT methods (xray/radiographic, magparticle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • IRATA training or willingness to obtain required
  • CWB Level 1 or 2 Certification considered an asset but not required.
