Job Type:
Part-Time Temporary, 12 month contract


Pay:
$21.00 per hour + $2.00 premium for overnights


YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provides day to day support to residents as needed (ex: ensuring clients are comfortable and communicating on a regular basis with clients and other members' of the resident's recovery team).
  • Provides administrative support as needed to the front desk, admissions or discharge.
  • Ensures the safety for the residents. Uses effective behavior management skills to deescalate crisis situations and minimize harm to residents and other staff.
  • Maintains communications/contact with all clinical staff regarding resident issues, through exchanges of information, as appropriate via verbal, written and electronic communication.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals in recovery from substance abuse or mental health issues
  • Knowledge of community resources available to individuals in recovery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques preferred
