The Opportunity:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities for assigned projects.
You will be a main contact for suppliers, freight forwarders and customers for arranging international shipments, preparing documentation, and dealing with customs brokers.
This is a term position with the potential to become permanent.The Team:
Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you will work closely with the Logistics, Project Management and Quoting teams across AGI's various global locations.
Responsibilities:
- Efficient management of international shipments to ensure all orders are delivered on time and within budget, to meet customers' expectations and needs
- Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers on freight quotes, shipping arrangements and cargo delivery updates
- Preparing shipping and customs documentation ensuring the accuracy of the paperwork
- Communicating with the customers, providing shipping updates, approving documentation, solving issues and finding solution to ensure positive customer experience
- Maintaining organized records, following the company's folder structure
- Providing support to the Sales Team on various international orders
- Participating in Logistics projects by managing new initiatives as they arise
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of international shipping experience and / or freight forwarding required
- Degree in business, logistics or related field preferred. Professional courses and certification will be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Fluent Spanish language will be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strongly skilled in problem solving, customer service, multitasking and time management
- Desire to learn and solid work ethic
