The Opportunity:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities for assigned projects.

You will be a main contact for suppliers, freight forwarders and customers for arranging international shipments, preparing documentation, and dealing with customs brokers.

This is a term position with the potential to become permanent.


The Team:


Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you will work closely with the Logistics, Project Management and Quoting teams across AGI's various global locations.


Responsibilities:


  • Efficient management of international shipments to ensure all orders are delivered on time and within budget, to meet customers' expectations and needs
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers on freight quotes, shipping arrangements and cargo delivery updates
  • Preparing shipping and customs documentation ensuring the accuracy of the paperwork
  • Communicating with the customers, providing shipping updates, approving documentation, solving issues and finding solution to ensure positive customer experience
  • Maintaining organized records, following the company's folder structure
  • Providing support to the Sales Team on various international orders
  • Participating in Logistics projects by managing new initiatives as they arise

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of international shipping experience and / or freight forwarding required
  • Degree in business, logistics or related field preferred. Professional courses and certification will be an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Fluent Spanish language will be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strongly skilled in problem solving, customer service, multitasking and time management
  • Desire to learn and solid work ethic
