Youthdale meets the complex needs of children and youth with an inter-professional team of highly skilled and dedicated psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, art therapists, and child and youth workers.


We are seeking to recruit a Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker to work closely with the CIFT team and the inter-professional team to provide integrated case management, care, treatment, and discharge services.

Position Summary


Reporting to the Program Manager, the Psychotherapist or Social Worker will provide individual, group, and family therapy services to children and adolescents (ranging in age from 6 -18), and their families accessing community (outpatient, day treatment) and Live-in treatment services at Youthdale Treatment Centres.

Additional family therapy training will also be provided.


Hours:37.5 Hours/Week - Monday to Friday, some evening availability

Full-Time Contract (15 months)

$ per hour


Areas of Responsibilities

  • Conducts individual and family centered assessments, treatment planning and goal setting in collaboration with the interprofessional team
  • Conducts regular individual, group skills, and family therapy sessions as per treatment plans
  • Plays a central role in coordinating transition and discharge plans
  • Actively participates in administrative, clinical meetings (including but not limited to school, livein case conferences, treatment planning meetings, psychology/psychiatry appointments) and trainings.
  • Liaises with clients and their parents/guardians as well as other professionals such as school personnel, and Children's Aid workers.
  • Provide case management and transition/discharge support to ensure coordination and continuity of services
  • Completes required documentation including assessments, session notes, Plans of Care and all other reports in a timely manner.
  • Attends regular individual and group supervision.
  • Be available to work up to 2 evenings per week
  • Will be required to travel periodically to day treatment classrooms and to various livein treatment locations within Toronto.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Social Work degree is required. A Master of Social Work would be considered an asset.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
  • Clinical experience in providing assessment, individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and/or their families.
  • Clinical experience providing group services to children, adolescents and/or parents is considered an asset.
  • Experience with using a variety of evidencebased and trauma informed treatment approaches including EFFT, CBT and DBT.
  • Experience working with interprofessional and livein teams is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license for travel to rural program is required.
