Job Summary


Reporting to the Environmental Lead, the Distribution & Supply Clerk will perform general physical activities in order to distribute and deliver incoming and outgoing supplies and packages to individual departments within CancerCare Manitoba.

The incumbent will load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.

The Distribution & Supply verifies, accepts, counts, logs, and distributes all incoming and outgoing goods and packages adhering to all safety and health regulations and safe work practices.

The incumbent must follow information and confidentiality guidelines at all times.


Qualifications:


  • Required:_
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards
  • Previous experience with receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and packages
  • Physically able to perform the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
  • Will be assessed during the interview process_:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional organizational, attention to detail and problemsolving skills required
  • Good interpersonal and demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a positive member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Will be assessed during the testing process_:
  • Effective mathematical and data entry skills
  • Preferred:_
  • Familiarity with WHMIS
  • Related courses in supply handling, distribution and inventory
  • Experience in inventory records and control
  • Previous experience working or volunteering in a healthcare setting
  • Asset:_
  • Ability to speak French

As per CUPE Collective Agreement
