JOB FUNCTION:

Reports to the Director of Security, Canada.

Works with Operations, Supply Chain and Affiliates Management to establish and maintain policies that protect employees and company assets, primarily in the Greater Toronto Area, but with responsibility across Canada.

Manages 3rd party guard service, ensures appropriate coverage. Responsible for the security of multiple locations operating on several shifts. Maintains alarms, CCTV and access control systems. Manages security deployment for Witnessed Destruction Program. Conducts investigations and security audits.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Management of security guards at all Estée Lauder facilities in Canada. Oversee contract security guard staffing, ensuring that all facilities are adequately staffed. Ensures that security guards receive appropriate training to meet service delivery expectations. Reviews security guard related invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. In partnership with 3rd party security guard provider, manages employee performance and development process through active monitoring and candid feedback.
  • Coordinate security guard services to support Warehouse Sales as well as other company sponsored events.
  • Provides security plans for company special events to control access and protect employees. Manages security for Employee Sales, Warehouse Sales and "plant open" hours outside of regular work hours.
  • Investigate and review incidents to identify security related issues and develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Management of access control systems, alarm systems, and CCTV.
  • Liaises with outside security service providers to optimize effectiveness of systems and the management of response to alarms and emergencies.
  • Promote an environment which encourages the development and implementation of security best practices. Ensure consistent compliance of security related polices across area of responsibility. Proactively identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies which support security requirements and business needs.
  • Work in partnership with Operations, Supply Chain and Affiliates Management at all sites across Canada, to establish and maintain policies that protect employees and company assets primarily in the Greater Toronto Area, but with responsibility across Canada.
  • Conducts confidential investigations and security audits of third-party manufacturing, production and distribution facilities as required. Makes recommendations for preventive or remedial actions.
  • Assist other Global Security Teams as required.
  • Coordinates the witnessed destruction of company products classified as DAV/NCR.
  • Maintains effective relationships and liaises with law enforcement agencies.
  • Conducts security policy and awareness training for employees.
  • Travels between facilities and other affiliates as required.

Qualifications Education**:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred (CPP, CPTED, CFE).

Experience:


  • Minimum 10 years in a middle/senior management role in law enforcement (Canadian experience preferred).
  • Experience in corporate security in a supervisory / management role.
  • Impeccable integrity
  • Commitment to excellence and teamwork.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Significant investigative experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of security systems.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MS computer programs.
  • Flex shift (days and afternoons) and other offshift, nights and weekends as needed.
  • Available to travel, as required.
