PURPOSE
The Repair Order Coordinator will coordinate and maintain pump service, repair, and parts quotations. The successful incumbent will also process sales orders and follow product through all stages of processing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Repairs, Parts, and Field Service

  • Responsible for the processing of repair, field service and parts orders from:
  • The conception of repair requirement(s) from customers or sales force, logging the information into our CRM, Maximizer
  • Where necessary, receive or seek out repair instructions from customers and/or sales force
  • Where necessary, coordinate communication between Sales Reps and customers regarding repair and/or service requirements
  • Where necessary, acquire parts list, manuals, drawings, and special service instructions etc. required for shop to dismantle prior to commencement of disassembly
  • With guidance from Millwrights and reports, seek out required scope of work or parts needed on all repairs including controversial issues of product condition (i.e., weld or replace)
  • Seek out costs for any and all labour, parts etc. and establish selling price per company policies and sales management guidelines
  • Liaising with Inside Sales Reps to seek out replacement cost/quotations to compare repair quote to replacement prices
  • Using Millwrights' evaluation/reports, produce detailed quotation including pictures, causes of failures, scope of work and parts required, and customer requested data
  • Seek out approval from sales force or customer
  • After receipt of approval to proceed, process job through system by part number creation and bill of material for each work order, writing requisitions for material and services
  • Work with project scheduler, shop, and outside contractors to schedule jobs per customer requirements and our quotation
  • Liaison with customers as jobs proceed through the shop
Shop support

  • Work with Service Centre Manager to ensure smooth workflow on shop floor
  • Work with shop personnel to ensure proper procedures and parts/supplies are present to conduct and complete the service job

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:


  • College Diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of 25 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Must exude an enthusiasm, passion, confidence, and an optimistic attitude
  • A positive mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processes
  • Must be driven and determined to win orders
  • Must be a collaborative and a supportive team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to "think on your feet", problem solve, and demonstrate creativity
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Must take ownership of own actions and demonstrate initiative

Desirable:


  • Working knowledge of fluid handling equipment and technical/mechanical processes
