Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. has been providing quality construction services to the oil & gas industry since 1969. Located in Calgary & Leduc with projects throughout Western Canada, we are a leader in the industry for turn-key new construction, maintenance and prefabrication. We are seeking
3rd and 4th year Pipefitter Apprentices to join our group in various remote job sites.


Shift Rotation :21 days on, 7 off


Location:
Various locations across Alberta and British Columbia

Role Responsibilities:


  • Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks
  • Make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings
  • Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks
  • Remove and replace worn components and do general maintenance work

Role Requirements:


  • 3rd or 4th year valid apprenticeship ticket
  • Standard First Aid (required)
  • H2S Alive (required)
  • TDG (Considered an Asset)
  • Commitment to safety and safe work procedures
  • Selfmotivated with an attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a preaccess drug and alcohol test
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Fit for duty

$25.00-$40.00 per hour
