Role Overview:

We're looking for someone who is a creative professional with strong organizational, interpersonal, programming and communications skills. You will work both collaboratively and independently.

You should be passionate about building relationships, getting out on campus and reaching new and uninvolved students, and empowering students.

What You'll Do:


  • Connect with students in 1on1 conversations to help them engage with the Jewish community on campus.
  • Put yourself in new places and situations to engage a wide variety of students, for example, meeting students where they are at (on campus, in residence).
  • Creating, implementing and supporting a diverse range of student programs and initiatives.
  • Being understanding of the needs of university students and have a desire to interact with the diversity of students and Work with student leaders on refining their Engagement best constituents involved with our Hillel.
  • Make Judaism accessible and relevant to others through your authentic Jewish story.
  • Advise and support the student executive boards and their committees.
  • Identify and seek innovative program areas to reach new student populations.
  • Logistics support for programs, practices through tabling, coffee dates, networking and welcoming at programs.
  • Working with and coordinating with other Jewish groups on campus like Chabad, AEPi, etc.
  • Building relationships with professionals and student leadership of various campus groups.

What You Bring to the Job:

  • A Bachelor degree and 0-2 years' professional work experience in a related field
  • You'll have a teamoriented approach to work, a strong work ethic, proven experience thinking and acting strategically to reach goals, a sense of humour, an ability to take risks and learn from situations when things don't turn out the way you thought they would.
  • Exceptional organization, leadership and communication skills
  • A strong proficiency and interest in social media
  • A proven track record engaging with social action or social justice work in the past

What You'll Get Out of It:

  • A first year salary of $44,000 and a raise to $46,500 in the second year of the contract
