Responsibilities:


  • Aligned with the Company's strategic plan, establishes long and shortterm sales goals, plans, and programs to ensure profitable growth.
  • Researches and analyzes markets and demographics to ensure opportunities are capitalized on and competition is minimized.
  • Works closely with the Vice President of Sales to develop pricing strategies and sales forecasts for the region.
  • Manages ongoing engineered product and service requirements and monitor client base for expansion, growth or potential moves.
  • Contributes to new product development by identifying opportunities and contributing to marketing and commercialization efforts to bring them successfully to the market.
  • Supports sales team and contributes to value engineered proposals with written components, providing thoughts, ideas, and suggestions, making technical presentations, and getting involved in negotiations.
  • Reviews contracts and negotiates terms with customers alongside the sales representatives
  • Develops and manages both internal and external business relationships.
  • Provides professional leadership and direction for sales staff in the region
  • Creates a regional sales and marketing plan for the region and manage to it.
  • Develops a regional sales and expense budget and holds sales team accountable towards these budgets
  • Works closely with the Alberta/ Prairies Sales Manager and other departments/ regions to proactively address problems, improve customer satisfaction, and increase profit.
  • Recommends changes and provide flexibility to quickly rectify problems and create opportunity.
  • Travels throughout the region to support our customers in their sales territory

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in business, civil engineering or civil technology is an asset.
  • Five to seven years of sales experience, in the civil construction industry.
  • Experience with budgeting, pricing, and competitive analysis.
  • Business acumen including the ability to develop and manage to realistic budgets, understanding of strategy and risk management in decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong business relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to know an appropriate method, who and how to communicate with, depending on the situation. Ability to present clear, concise, and credible business presentations.
  • Ability to negotiate a winwin deal, contributing to the success and the reputation of Atlantic Industries as a trusted advisor in the industry.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several projects and matters concurrently.
  • Experience with a CRM/Salesforce an asset.
