$94,424 - $118,028 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

In this role you report to the Director, Immunization Services, and provide a unique combination of scientific and technical expertise while working on a multidisciplinary team of senior management, external partners and front line staff.

You will provide guidance and direction, initiate and maintain working relationships with stakeholders and use evidence-informed decision-making to plan Immunization Services Division programs and services.


What you will do in this role:

  • Provide expertise in public health science, research and vaccine-preventable diseases for the Department's strategic priorities
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of program initiatives designed to optimize vaccine preventable disease and immunization related service delivery in Peel
  • Responsible for the development of strategies and plans for integrating Divisional initiatives into Public Health Services, Corporate Services and the broader community plan
  • Advise the Divisional management team on all aspects of program and policy development assessing the longterm impacts of decisions
  • Provide advice, writing, briefing, critical analysis and coordinates support to the Divisional management team as directed
  • Provides indepth analysis to assess risks associated with strategic and operational plans
  • Coordinates and performs complex analysis and technical scientific work to support the Division's deliverables and strategic directions
  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the department Public Health and Divisional management teams by monitoring developments, opportunities and trends in legislation, policies and the political environment
  • Collaborate with high level partners, university researchers, key external agencies such as the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Public Health Ontario, Association of Local Public Health Agencies and Public Health Agency of Canada

What the role requires:


  • Masters degree in a health or public administration related discipline
  • Expert knoweldge and further specilaization in project management, Health Services and administration
  • Minimum 5 years of Public Health experience
  • Experience within a provinicial or municipal government environment with an understanding of political and administrative culture
  • Polished understanding of comprehensive health promotion, critical analysis, evidenceinformed decisionmaking, integrated planning, policy development and policy writing

  • Change management and leadership skills to influence and implement change
  • Highly developed interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands, urgent tasks, changing priorities and unexpected scheduling changes
  • Strategic thinker with ability to analyze complex problems and provide impactful solutions

Work Mode & Job Location:
In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 7120 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON
_ _worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
