Position Summary:
The Business Development (BD) role focuses on identifying potential clients, generating leads, and qualifying them based on budget and need, while also nurturing relationships and managing the sales pipeline.
Once qualified leads are identified, they'll be transitioned to the Technical Sales team, who provide deep technical expertise, tailor solutions, and support customers throughout the sales process, ultimately closing deals by addressing technical objections and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Primary Focus:
On identifying, cultivating, and initiating relationships with potential clients. Their primary goal is to generate leads and create opportunities to sell our products and/or services.

Lead Generation:
_ Involves researching industries, markets, and target customers to identify potential prospects. This may include attending industry events, networking, cold calling, leveraging digital marketing strategies, and leveraging our existing distribution network.

Lead Qualification:
_ Once leads are identified, BD personnel will qualify them to ensure they align with the company's target market and have the potential to become paying customers.
This involves assessing factors such as budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).- _
Relationship Building:
_ Building trust and rapport with prospects is crucial.
There will be a focus on understanding the needs and pain points of potential clients and positioning the company's offerings as solutions to those challenges.
- _Pipeline Management:
_ BD professionals manage the sales pipeline by tracking leads, nurturing relationships, and moving prospects through the sales funnel. This involves regular follow-ups, maintaining communication, and updating CRM systems.
Education Requirements:
A bachelor's or master's degree in either business administration or engineering is preferred. Specialized training or certifications in Business Development and Sales are also welcome. Relevant experience in the field of business development, sales, or marketing may supersede formal education qualifications.

- Ability to manage customer expectations/experience
- Proven troubleshooting capabilities
- Detail oriented
- Ability to lift 20 kg (45 lbs.)
- Expected Hours of Work: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, with occasional overtime
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally (estimated 912 weeks per year)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Fulfills the requirements necessary to enter/work in an industrial facility
- Perform all work in a safe manner according to procedures and protocols
