We are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, talented individual to join our academic team who shares our commitment to quality education and student success.

Reporting to the Director and Associate Director of Academics, this job will provide support to instructors of two programs: Social Service Worker - Gerontology and Office Administration in Health Services


Job Requirement:
On-Campus, In-Person; _this is not a remote position_


Day-to-Day Job Duties:


  • Create semester class schedule
  • Ensure that all teachers have their timetables, teaching resources such as textbooks and access to the PeopleSoft program.
  • Order textbooks and resources for faculty
  • Coordinate textbook return/pickup for faculty
  • Collect teachers' syllabi and ensure that all teachers disseminate the syllabi to their students
  • Provide daily support to instructors, such as helping resolve issues with students
  • Coordinate classroom observations
  • Work closely with Program Leads
  • Work closely with the IT Department to ensure technical issues get resolved
  • Monitor grade submissions on PeopleSoft
  • Provide support and trainings to newly hired individuals
  • Coordinate classroom bookings if necessary
  • Create Internal Faculty Survey (IFS) template, monitor submissions and produce reports
  • Create Microsoft Classrooms, assign instructors and advisors
  • Teaching may be required based on the academic schedule
  • Work rotating evening and weekend shifts to monitor college function
  • Other duties as required assigned

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree; higher degrees in appropriate fields related to our programs are considered an asset
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a postsecondary setting, frontfacing role along with skills pertaining to International Students is an asset
  • Experience working with, supporting internal and external stakeholders is an asset
  • Skills and experience working with a multicultural clientele
  • Strong working knowledge of academic operations, office administration and IT
  • Possess data gathering and analysis skills
  • Must have excellent advanced level spreadsheet skills, along with excellent ability with numbers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, behavior management skills and collaborative ability of a high level are required in order to be able to work effectively across section or departmental boundaries
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; within parameters established by your manager, you will liaise with team members to ensure others' actions are complete and required information is provided on a timely basis
  • Ability to comply with policies regarding confidentiality, privacy and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to be expressed across all communication channels
  • Criminal reference check completed within the last 6 months is required
