Description

Royal Vancouver Yacht Club is looking for a Full-Time Dock Worker to join our team at our Jericho Marina for the afternoon and overnight shifts.

Available Shifts:

Sunday-Thursday: 3:00PM11:00PM (Afternoon Shift)
Sunday-Thursday: 11:00PM7:00AM (Overnight Shift)

Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) is one of the world's premier yacht clubs and one of the finest in Vancouver.

Our mission is to promote yachting, seamanship, and fellowship among current members and those who share our values of tradition, sportsmanship, and community service, among many others.

Our philosophy at RVYC is to provide excellent Member & Guest services in all that we do.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with members, guests, and staff.
General cleaning and maintenance of the marina
Assisting with construction projects
Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting potential hazards to supervisor
Assisting members with daytoday operations at the marina
Additional duties and projects as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

Positive, team player who is able to work independently and within a team environment
Able to stand for long periods of time in all weather
Excellent customer service and problemsolving skills
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Friendly and able to build relationships with our members and staff
Previous experience with boat operation, power tools, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry preferred
