Description

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for ensuring the agency building, vehicle and property are maintained in a clean and organized order.

Is committed to ending the cycle of abuse and violence by raising awareness through prevention, intervention, education, and advocacy.


Organizational Service / Support

Works with the Residential Operations Coordinator (ROC) to identify areas of need, including regularly scheduled tasks, and unscheduled daily tasks.

Cleans, organizes, identifies hazards and maintains the condition of the building and property. May be assigned to complete light maintenance activities.

Operates within established systems to ensure task completion, including the adherence to agency Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) and health & safety procedures.

JOB SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administrative Responsibility
Recording work in existing cleaning tracking systems. Adheres to agency cleaning schedule and tracking completion of tasks. Communicating with ROC to ensure adequate supplies necessary for the role and for daily needs of staff and clients.


Facilities, Equipment and Materials
Cleans, organizes, and maintains the condition of the building and property, including daily cleaning and organization tasks. Is proactive in addressing identified areas of need related to the building and property.


JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Education & Experience: _
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six (6) months of related experience in cleaning and maintenance. Experience in commercial or residential setting is an asset.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • At times, the individual will be working in a safe environment, but may encounter highrisk situations.
  • Work hours vary according to programming and agency demands.
  • CPR/first aid certification is an asset.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting up to 20 lbs.

Salary:
From $19.23 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
