We are seeking a dynamic, committed professional to join our team:
HRIS Operator

100% Regular, 35 Hours per Week *Hybrid

$61,500 - $72,400 per annum


Under the general direction of the HR Team Manager, the HRIS Operator maintains the integrity and accuracy of all employee information and data on the District's human resources information system (HRIS) and on-line sub-system for leaves (ie.

sick leave, vacation, and other leaves).

The Operator is responsible for coding, entering and updating employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including new employees, salary and leave administration, benefit eligibility, staff movement, retirements and resignations; interpreting and administering collective agreements, Board policies and procedures; and liaising with internal departments regarding employee concerns and inquiries.

A diploma in Human Resources Management and 2 years of experience working in a Human Resources environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Proficiency in computer technology, including skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (i.e. Microsoft Suite, Google Applications, HRIS).


Interpersonal and communication skills required when providing, explaining or clarifying information to others, while respecting confidentiality of employee information and data.

Must have the ability to use tact, diplomacy and discretion.


Organizational and time management skills used for organizing, planning and prioritizing work demands to ensure payroll and other deadlines are met.

Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines is required.

Analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving problems (ie. salary, leave allocations).

Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy for data entry activities.

Knowledge of human resource processes and practice;
Knowledge of human resources employee database systems.
