Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Regional Chef will support the Culinary team with the five (5) venues situated at 250 Adelaide Street West and 26 Duncan Street in downtown Toronto.

This includes The Porch, Rock 'N' Horse Saloon, Dublin Calling, Par-Tee Putt, and ACES Pizza.


This leader will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, developing recipes, ensuring quality control, and maintaining inventory levels while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.


The Role

  • Team Leadership: Proficient in motivating, developing, and coaching culinary teams across multiple venues.
  • Operations Management: Skilled in overseeing all aspects of daily kitchen operations, including food production and team coordination.
  • Financial Management: Capable of supporting culinary financial metrics such as labor costs, food expenses, and inventory management.
  • Strategic Planning: Experienced in participating in menu pricing strategies and adapting to seasonal changes and ingredient costs.
  • Recipe Development: Proficient in developing standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation, and leading implementation and training for regional teams.
  • Hygiene Standards: Skilled in setting and maintaining high standards for cleanliness and maintenance in kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Competent in conducting inventory assessments and ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Quality Assurance: Experienced in inspecting deliveries to ensure quality standards are met and proper storage practices (FIFO) are followed.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrates a "guest first" approach and leads the team with a positive attitude.
  • Training and Development: Able to carry out ongoing training sessions to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Process Management: Proficient in maintaining standard processes for menu and recipe changes as outlined by leaders in the organization.
  • Waste Reduction: Supports a culture that minimizes waste within the culinary operations.
  • Recruitment: Assists in recruiting new culinary team members and addresses staffing needs as required.
  • Flexibility: Capable of performing other related duties as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating Positive Shareable Experiences
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Experience leading a team with the ability to coach, delegate and support
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • A proven track record for making significant contributions to a growing business
  • Ability to maneuver in an evolving environment and adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, retain, and engage team members
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e. punctuality, commitment to the job, wellgroomed, mannerly, great teamwork etc.)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50LBS
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time and ability to walk up and down stairs throughout shift
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively during peak times
  • Meet productivity standards and complete work using time efficiently
