The Lead, Transformation Experience Design will play an essential servant leadership role in the strategic delivery of transformation related design activities that will in turn support business agility, growth and innovation at WVC.
This role is highly collaborative, working across multiple business and learning stakeholders, to balance leadership, operational, strategic and transformational initiatives and priorities.
Customer and end learner-focused, this role delivers measurable process and outcome metrics, to build organization-wide people capabilities.This position partners with the Senior Leadership team, Directors, Head of Agile, Head of Enterprise Portfolio Planning, People & Culture, Strategic Communications, Enterprise Agile Coaches, Initiative and Capability Owners, Portfolio Managers, Agile Program Managers, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Business Owners and Product Managers, to support and coach the execution of operating model and Agile transformation, enabling the continuous delivery of value to employees and customers.
In essence, this role will be responsible for implementing effective learning experience frameworks and strategies for organizational transformation in alignment with the Agile and operating model road maps, working with the requisite teams accordingly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transformation Design (60%)
- Develop and drive a framework and strategy for an enterprisewide approach to the intended transformation experience that clearly outlines priorities, current proficiencies and a structured approach and timeline that support the enterprise operating model and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Directly accountable for partnering with external suppliers, leading the vendor selection process, negotiation and driving of the relationship.
- Work collaboratively within the Transformation, Agile Centre and People and Culture teams to build overall capability of our people and deliver business improvement aligned with the enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Understand, assess and deliver training, learning and performance support programs that leverage technology best practices.
- Engage in strategic analysis to determine the organization's development needs and opportunities.
- Support business stakeholders in understanding and adopting evaluation techniques and tools.
- Plan and design a learning curriculum to support ongoing and future business needs in alignment with the vision of the enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Ensure professional delivery of services to the business that meets stakeholder needs.
- Business Transformation (20%)
- Key enabler of business transformation, operating model improvements, and strategy execution.
- Evaluating and road mapping our transformation experience to become a more business agile organization.
- Work with Senior stakeholders to define and understand and optimize the flow of value, identify the value streams and delivery mechanisms.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner in continuously identifying areas for improvement and recommend pragmatic solutions.
- Develop objectives and key results, metrics, and benchmarks for evaluating the transformation experience.
- Collaborate in the implementation of the Enterprise Operating Model and Agile Transformation roadmaps.
- Coach senior leadership, initiative and capability owners on leadership and development strategies and approaches.
- Support critical planning events, which includes, but is not limited to, Objective and Key Results Definition and Quarterly Planning.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of established experience in related role.
- Minimum of 7 years leadership experience in a learning and development/instructional design capacity.
- Recognized adult learning certification/qualifications.
- 5+ years leading large scale, sophisticated, multiyear, multistakeholder, instructional design activities.
- Ability to work with executive level stakeholders and manage expectations.
