  • Responsible for opening and/ or closing shop
  • Receive incoming stock on a timely basis
  • Inventory control processes as directed by shop manager
  • Providing assistance to volunteers at either the cash desk or back desk as required
  • Sustaining good working relations with all gift shop volunteers
  • Training new volunteers on the point of sale system
  • Ensuring that policies of the shop are followed at all times
  • Keeping merchandise replenished and tidy
  • Resolve customer complaints where applicable
  • Lead by example
  • Other duties as required
  • Experience in the wholesale/retail industry is preferable
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other related systems. Comfortable with learning systems and generating reports.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently.
