Retail Sales Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service in the TIFF Shop to drive sales and perform merchandising duties to ensure the shop is maintained and inventory is organized.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and interact with customers in the shop to meet their needs and drive sales
Participate in merchandise handling, receiving, pricing and organizing
Perform accurate transactions on POS system
Open and close POS, prepare daily cash float and calculate daily deposit for the Finance department
Utilize POS database to complete purchasing and receiving paperwork for the Finance department
Review Shopify account, process online transactions, package and mail out products
Set up and tear down promotional displays and pop up shops
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including dusting and cleaning of displays
Participate in the annual inventory count and conduct inventory spot checks throughout the year Knowledgeable about services and programming available at the TIFF Bell Lightbox
RATE OF PAY:
- $15.50/hourly
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years experience in retail and/or customer service position
- Cash handling experience
- Experience with Shopify and/or Givex considered an asset
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Available to work for the duration of Festival
