What You'll Do Here:
- Prepares and responds to RFP/RFQ/RFI proposals.
- Analyzes documents, specifications, proposals, addendums in preparation for pricing.
- Performs any estimate related oral and/or written communications with clients.
- Works in conjunction with other Aecon groups on complex, multisolution bids.
- Responsible for labour and material procurement.
- Identifies all "out of scope" work and obtains proper documentation related to change orders.
- Provide progress reports and ensure accounting issues are addressed.
- Identify and communicate sales opportunities, and liaise with Sr. Leaders, Business Development teammates.
- Communicates with end user Clients, Trade partners, Subcontractors Product and Distribution partners.
- Supports a continuous improvement atmosphere and maximizes efficiency.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Broad product knowledge of cabling manufacturers.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills, with an ability to work with a diverse workforce and internal and external customers.
- Superior customer relationship skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- RCDD and/or RCDD/OSP/RTPM/NTS designation is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of Estimating in Cabling or IT industry.
- Thorough knowledge of contract language / Terms and Conditions / Bonding etc.
- Ability to adapt in a fastpaced and rapidly changing business environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong quantity takeoff skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must be willing to learn proprietary estimating software.
- Mostly in office work with some job site travel as required.
- Willing to travel by vehicle around the GTA where required.
- Flexibility to work some hours on weekends or evenings if required.
