Work Arrangements:
We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

Equitable Life is growing We are looking for a Manager, Learning & Development to join our Learning & Development team
The Manager, Learning & Development will assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees.

What you will be doing:
- Identify training needs, recommending and implementing solutions, and evaluating and measuring effectiveness
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive training strategy ensuring strategic alignment of training and development with business goals
- Collaborate with HR team members and business leaders to understand their needs related to training and development by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders in order to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions
- Conduct assessments and analyses to define performance, skill and knowledge gaps and recommend training and development to drive individual and companywide capability and performance improvement
- Recommend and develop employee engagement programs and activities that enhance employment experience
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for training and development programs
- Establish and maintain individual and organizational performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery, activities, engagement and outcomes. Utilize metrics to validate knowledge transfer and return on investment for all Learning and Development programs and initiatives
- Identify appropriate external training vendors and negotiate contracts as required
- Organize and facilitate external learning programs within the organization i.e. DiSC, Crucial Conversations/Crucial Accountabilities
- Support employees and managers with organizational change management needs
- Oversee the Management Development Committee
- Organize and lead the Equitable Life Orientation Program (EQO Program) for all new employees including associated subprograms (i.e. the Buddy Program).
- Assist in the design and development of programs and events that support our corporate culture
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Human Resource Development or a related field
- 57 years of adult learning and development experience including developing, implementing, and delivering training
- Strong change management experience
- Strong consultative approach
- Experience in measuring and evaluating impact experience
- French as a second language is an asset
