Role
The Material Coordinator is responsible for Manufacturing and Outsourcing material handling, as well as supplying parts, accurately and efficiently, according to the production schedule and in accordance with 3G policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Locate parts in the warehouse using work orders provided by the planning team; Count required quantities; Put on carts/racks/skids and move picked order to staging area for manufacturing or production.
- Verify part numbers on work orders to part number on boxes/skids/bins before taking to manufacturing or staging area
- Move, store, and record the movements and locations of materials to the production lines/staging area; Input information in computer system or on paperwork, as necessary; Return to stock materials that were picked in excess, or due to wrong parts on the work orders; Scanning of inventory movements.
- Ensure parts are properly handled and stored when staging for production, to prevent damage and breakage.
- Ensure proper storage procedures are followed, with guidance from 3G Processes and Procedures.
- Advise of differences between physical location of goods, and paperwork provided, ensuring corrections and transfers can be completed
- Report and escalate part defects, as per company procedures
- Using work orders provided by the planning team, locate parts in the warehouse, count the required quantities, put parts on carts/racks/skids and move picked order to designated area
- Return stock materials that were picked in excess or due to wrong parts on the work orders
- Receive and count items into the warehouse inventory and record the data either manually or in the computer system.
- Assist with cycle counting; Ensure orders are accurately picked and documented in a timely manner.
- Assist with the annual physical inventory count
- Communicate discrepancies as needed; Assist in investigation to resolve discrepancies.
- Report damaged inventory in a timely manner; Complete required defective tag; Ensure tag is properly dispositioned by a Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure inventory items are properly labelled; Advise inventory personal of stock that is not properly labelled or identified
- Ensure picked orders are tagged with order number and project name
- Examine items in inventory for defects, wear, or damage; Escalate as needed
- Report damage stock and damaged warehouse materialshandling equipment as needed
- Review consumption of materials used by manufacturing department and organize accordingly
- Inspect defective manufacturing extrusions and coordinate with planning to repurpose
- Manage all manufacturing department inventory. Cycle counts, quantity and locations
- Responsible for ensuring manufacturing shelves and area are clean and organized at all times
- Operate the forklift with proper forklift certification
- Complete housekeeping duties to maintain the Warehouse and office space in a clean, tidy and safe condition
- Adhere to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety guarding and general safe working practices
Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.5 per week
