Toronto Business College is seeking to hire a full-time (40 hours per week) Academic Officer.

This position plays an important role in the Academics department on supporting faculties and students by facilitating key academic and operational processes.


Academic Officer Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate passion for delivering excellent customer service with a commitment to facultyand student satisfaction and success.
  • Support the Academics department to monitor faculties activities on campus.
  • Support activities between Academics, Program Coordinators, Faculties, and eLearning toassure course content is aligned with required outlines.
  • Support preparing the content for Faculty onboarding as well as for Professional Developmentsessions.
  • Maintain college policies and procedures updated on the Academic portal.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for improvements and adaptations on contentdelivered to students.
  • Support faculty recruitment process as well as focusing on onboarding to ensure faculties adapteasily to the College.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members of Academics to ensure a positive teamworkenvironment.
  • Ensure Student Perception of Learning surveys are reviewed and disseminated to stakeholders.
  • Support the Academic Manager to maintain the perpetual plans concerning all aspects involvedwith the faculty performance reviews.
  • Supports all program reviews and/or audits.

Working in a college filled with diversity the incumbent must be prepared to demonstrate compassion, cultural understanding & sensitivity which directly contributed to student success.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; demonstrating a commitment to excellence in managing projects. Agile practice is a strong asset.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning in the field.
  • A proven ability to work within a collaborative environment, demonstrating flexibility.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced computer literacy on using MSOffice including MS Planner.
  • Knowledge of eleaning tools (Moodle, Rise 360 and Articulate).
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and problemsolving, conflict and stress management skills.
  • PMP, Agile Coach or SCRUM Master certifications are preferred.
