Payroll Manager
This role is office based located in Burlington
Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing tasks related to the processing of weekly payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on-time, and that employment records are accurate.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payrolls in accordance with company, union, and regulatory requirements for approximately 200 employees
- Assist with monthly benefits reconciliations, ensuring premiums are updated in employee records
- Reconcile and prepare union remittances, RRSP/DPSP, and garnishments
- Compile and summarize payroll information for management reports, as required
- Update and maintain uptodate payroll process documentation
- Assist with special projects and future system implementation
Education:
- A graduate from post
- PCP
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner in good standing
Experience:
- Minimum of four years of payroll experience in a medium/high volume payroll environment
- Multinational payroll experience
- Implementation experience is an asset
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Ability to learn new skills and understand the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll system
- Ability to provide clear direction to employees, managers and HR when engaged
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent skills using MS Word and Excel
- Very positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

$65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
