Wolseley is seeking a motivated, dynamic individual to join our Internal Audit program as an Internal Auditor.

This individual will report to the Senior Internal Auditor and will participate in SOX testing, Field audits, and Corporate audits for Wolseley Canada throughout the year.

This is a remote position with audit related travel including to HQ in Virginia. Travel requirement is approximately 20%.

What you will do:

  • Perform end to end business process walkthroughs, document key controls, and identify potential gaps in the design or existence of controls.
  • Produce high quality SOX working papers to document the tests performed, results, and conclusions.
  • Execute high quality commercial, operational, financial, and compliance riskbased audit and advisory engagements consistent with Internal Audit methodology
  • Execute field audits across the Wolseley Canada branch network. These audits encompass financial, operational, and legal/compliance aspects.
  • Ensure excellent communication with audit clients and audit leadership team.
  • Perform consulting on special projects or assignments as required.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to optimize use of AuditBoard and drive efficiencies throughout the organization by using the AuditBoard platform.
  • Leverage IT automation/data analytic tools for audit testing approach.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 1 to 4 years business experience either in audit or finance preferred.
  • Data analytic skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc).
  • Skilled in prioritization, multitasking, and managing deadlines.
  • Awareness of organizational and cultural sensitivity.
