We are seeking a
Yard Student for our
Toronto District Yard in Oakville, Ontario within our
Canadian Buildings Division that is available
for
4 months starting in May 2023.

Here's how a **Yard
Student** for our Toronto office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities:

Reports to Yard Supervisor any tools/equipment repairs and disposals.
Monitors and maintains accurate inventory levels of stores items and tools.
Creates stores, tool and equipment transfers.
Orders electrical repair parts, stores items and tools from suppliers.
Arranges courier and trucking company services for outgoing orders as directed by yard staff.
Creates and maintains service purchase orders for equipment and copiers.
Records stores and tool transfers.
Handles phone requests from sites.
Disposes of nonworking tools and submits paperwork for removing from computer system.
Practices PCL safety practices.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a postsecondary institution.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Maintains a positive working relationship with clients.
Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fastpaced, resultsoriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
