About the Role & Responsibilities:

The Programs Sales Coordinator is responsible for leading program stakeholder engagement and administering all program-related activities at the CTA.

You will ensure that CTA's programming is organized, dynamic, inclusive, and representative of the diversity that exists within the culinary cultural communities of Ontario.

You will also build capacity with businesses in our network and across the culinary tourism value-chain, assist in the development of both current and new programs, and manage the administration of all programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Works to achieve sales targets for each program, new leads, new certifications, retention of existing certified operators, and growth as set by the Programs Manager
  • Responds to program inquiries by assessing potential new clients for program matching opportunities.
  • Services existing clients' program deliverables, such as coordination of program certification, purveyors, and partner activations and fulfilment
  • Ensures relevant information is recorded, maintained, and up to date in Asana and with the CRM (Copper) as well as providing administration support to programs as required.
  • Participates in strategic planning with the Programs Manager, with regard to programs direction, as well as support and maintenance of strategic partnerships.
  • Assists with marketing efforts of the programs while continually being the leader in driving sales of programs.
  • Supports educating, training, and recruiting stakeholders and partners.
  • Attends and supports events as required while supporting content for the monthly programs enewsletters and other communications as needed.
  • Tracks inventory of program assets (aprons, mugs, etc.) for promotional use
  • Supports collection of feedback from invested stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Other duties as reasonably required to support the Programs Manager
  • Works with all CTA departments to foster a teamwork environment and culture that encourages personal integrity, accountability & responsibility.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience within a relevant marketing, sales, or customer service in tourism or hospitality sector
  • A university degree or college diploma in communications, sales, tourism or hospitality related discipline would be beneficial
  • Experience using project management software (we use Asana) and CRM's (we use Copper)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent teamoriented skills and capacities
  • Ability to work with people in multiple and varied forms, involving all staff levels, as well as the public, community leaders and others.
  • Ability to travel out of town for sales outreach and to attend events (on evenings and weekends), as required.
  • Valid G license with reliable vehicle or eligibility to rent a vehicle
  • Knowledge of local food systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of inclusion work and an appreciation of the complexities of inter/intracultural interactions is an asset.
  • Adept at Microsoft Office, G Suite, and Dropbox.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote work setting and manage shifting priorities.
  • Passion for food, drink and travel is an asset.
