is a highly regarded ASME-certified process systems and equipment fabrication company looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our product offering and customer base.

Reporting directly to Quality Control Manager and in collaboration with other members of a cohesive project based multifunctional team, your specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that existing standard operating procedures, quality programs and welding procedure specifications are being followed by company staff
• Witness, develop, and review PQR and WPS in accordance with the Code
• Perform weld inspection as per Code
• Supervise welding certification of new hires
• Review welding specifications and/or requirements for each project and work with team to solve fabrication challenges
• Identify project quality control requirements and ensure they are always met
• Review project drawings and specifications, developing inspection and test plans and implementing them
• Perform various quality control tests
• Perform in process and final inspection of parts and assemblies
• Prepare Turnover Package Documentation
• Participate in quality control audits by customers and regulatory bodies
• Communicate with representatives of regulatory bodies
• Inspect materials and finished goods to ensure they meet Code, customer requirements and/or contract specifications, including but not limited to checking welds, welding consumables, base material, cut & formed parts, layout work and coatings
• Document and segregate nonconforming fabricated material and workmanship.
• Biannual/Annual calibration of welding equipment and QC inspection equipment
• Other duties as required

Required Skills:

• Able to demonstrate 5+ years of related industry experience.
• CSA W178.2 Welding Inspector Certification Level
• Proven experience in the field of stainlesssteel process equipment fabrication, including process skids, pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Working knowledge of welding, metal fabrication and machining processes.
• Working knowledge of CSA B51, ASME BPVC Section II, V, VIII Div.1, IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3 3, ASME BPE standards.
• Experience in development and implementation of QC programs, SOPs, PQRs and WPS.
• Familiarity with requirements of pharmaceutical, nuclear, food and beverage industries.
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance certification.
