Cybersecurity is looking for a talented individual to oversee the improvement of our Security Operations Centre (SOC).


As a Strategic Advisor, you will need a deep understanding of the Cybersecurity incident management lifecycle and intelligence and have experience analyzing threats and metadata.

The team will use your advanced analytics, repeatable processes and automation to better protect the Bank. You will need to create business cases and present the projects to various stakeholders at the Bank.

This position reports to the Cybersecurity Senior Manager and the CISO.

As part of the management team, you will act as an expert and advisor on the delivery of strategic files regarding the ongoing transformation and improvement of Cybersecurity management.


Your role:

  • Act as an expert and represent the Cybersecurity team with other sectors of the Bank and with external partners
  • Mentor intelligence teams and the Security Operations Centre
  • Be aware of market trends affecting the evolution of the sector that can help speed up the transformation of our working methods
  • Act as an Expert Advisor, propose and participate in implementing lasting and sustainable remediation plans related to compliance challenges
  • Influence and support reaching the Bank's strategic objectives in Cybersecurity and Cybercrime
  • Act as a Product Owner on strategic projects for the sector.

Among other things, you will:

  • Display leadership skills and embody the vision
  • Ensure the delivered product adds value to the Bank and get involved with the Transformation office.
  • Prioritize and coordinate tasks to deliver the most added value while considering any constraints or interdependencies with other projects or sectors
  • Ensure stakeholders are always working toward the vision
  • Understand the interdependencies with other projects and other departments, anticipate their impact and take advantage of related opportunities
  • Innovate, show imagination and creativity, know and be interested in the needs of the group by delivering solutions that meet expectations and support change management

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of10 years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of intelligence practices
  • Solid grasp of Security Operations Centre (SOC) principles
  • Knowledge of the main Cybercrime principles
  • Knowledge of the main BigData and Analytics principles
  • Be recognized for your leadership and your teamwork
  • Be recognized as an agent for change and for your ability to influence others
  • Excellent ability to analyze and summarize, ability to explain concepts to stakeholders
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada

Preferred skills:

  • Have excellent analytical skills, the ability to learn quickly and resolve complex situations
  • Be creative, innovative, and capable of rethinking/redefining working methods
  • Knowledge of the banking industry, an asset
  • Excellent understanding of all cybersecurity activities, an asset
