Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Manager, this position will be responsible for basic, intermediate, and advanced word processing functions as well as administrative support for a multidisciplinary team with the Primary Health Care program; as well as other program areas as required.
Computer programs/systems utilized may include but are not limited to all Microsoft Office Applications; Client and Referral Management System (CRMS); Meditech; Provincial Client Registry/Unique Personal Identifier; Client Index Database and Inter-site Transfer of Client Records Database.
This position is also responsible for the maintenance and support of the Med Access electronic health record, payroll functions including payroll and mileage data entry, maintaining attendance and leave balance records as well as changes to schedules/records, printing of requests/changes, and contact with timekeepers.
Other duties as required.Job Demands
- Regularly lifts objects weighing less than 5 lbs and occasionally up to 10 lbs.
- Work provides the opportunity to occasionally stand and walk within the office environment and requires bending, stretching, etc., to retrieve and return files.
- Constantly performs repetitive fine motor skills while sitting and using a computer and mouse for typing.
- Regularly to constantly uses bilateral, repetitive fine finger/precision work (i.e. typing/ mousing) on the computer (seated at a workstation).
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of a twoyear Office Administration program OR completion of a oneyear Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college supplemented by two years' experience within the last four in a progressively responsible clerical role is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook is required.
- A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 Driver's License and the use of a private vehicle are conditions of employment.
- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
