ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality Administrator, under direction of the Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Business Operations, coordinates the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System for a specific business line within BSRx division.

The incumbent assists documentation of Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Policies, and quality events.

The Quality Administrator also participates with special projects, improvement initiatives and development of education, operational and quality materials within the business line in scope.


Please note:

This is a hybrid role requiring to work from our Markham office twice a week.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Responsible for Quality Management System and all relevant documentation, promotes quality achievement, and identifies process improvements to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality throughout the business line.
  • Participates in the development of new Policies, SOPs, WIs and performs their efficacy analysis. Review current WI, SOPs, Policies.
  • Drafts work instructions (WI) according to business requirements.
  • Launches training material pursuant to Policies, SOPs and WIs, follow up on completions.
  • Helps ensure rolled out Policies, SOPs, WIs are maintained, updated and appropriately communicated to all employees.
  • Supports department initiatives geared towards process and/or document improvement.
  • Oversees data quality and manages document control; prepares quality templates and reports, project documentation, KPI's and meeting minutes. Conducts data quality audits, investigates deficiencies, and implements appropriate solutions.
  • Ensures Quality Records and Documentation are organized and maintained.
  • Oversees customer surveys, collects feedback, shows trends, and coordinates development of preventive action plans as required.
  • Responds to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
  • Supports annual audit program, conducts internal audits, performs quality control on site as required. Evaluates audit findings, prepares audit reports, and coordinates action plans with appropriate stakeholders. Performs spot audits to ensure compliance.
  • Supports risk reporting program and processes. Coordinates and approves meeting minutes, assignments, ensures follow up and event/issue resolution by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Conducts and manages monitoring procedures such as data gathering, reviews, analysis, and document/case file review, verification, and criteria development. Makes recommendations for improvement as appropriate. Supports performance improvement initiatives as required.
  • Identifies training needs, participates in development of training materials, and leads trainings to meet quality management standards.
  • Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Responsible for completing Accident Reports for all direct reports in accordance to Health and Safety protocols.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a health or businessrelated field; completion of Quality Management, Risk Management or related courses is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of organizational development, performance metrics, documentation, and quality assurance, preferably in health care; diverse experience in development of policies and processes, reports, and presentations
  • Pharmacy experience is an asset.
