  • Job brief_
Our company is looking for Production Planner.

The job holder is required to have related experiences and knowledge in food production/manufacturing and be able to work in a cold environment.


  • Responsibilities_
  • Performs weekly detailed inventory analysis to determine production needs.
  • Plans and coordinates production priorities for Seasonal Herbs, Further Processed and Freeze-Dried items.
  • Develops and prioritizes the production schedule which details all special product requirements (. i.e., grade, input material) needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Verifies input material need and availability for all production requirements (i.e., ingredients, packaging) and directs Purchasing to procure the ingredients to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinates activities with all coprocessors for freezedrying and irradiation needs.
  • Assumes production planning responsibilities, as needed, in the Customer Service and Production Planning Supervisor's absence.
  • Provides administrative support to the production planning process, including Creates Bills of Material, new product codes. Maintains item numbers listed in the timekeeping system. Maintains work order listings in databases and closes out work orders as they are completed. Prepares and distributes open work order reports daily to track progress.
  • Performs weekly inventory replenishment analysis to determine warehouse replenishment needs and instructs appropriate personnel to forward deploy required products to maintain continuity in sales operations.
  • Plans prioritize and originate all outbound/inbound transfers of product between forwarding warehouses.
  • Coordinates transportation for all outbound/inbound transfers with truckload carriers. Posts and matches all transfers to outside distribution warehouses
  • Other duties as required.

Probationary Period: 3-months

Work Location: 2501-A Stanfield Rd, Mississauga ON, L4Y 1R- Shift Requirement: Afternoon shift, starting time at 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm

  • Compensation: TBD on experience
  • Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time
  • Requirements_
  • College or bachelor's degree
  • 2 years experience in a supply chain or operation planning role
  • Experience in food manufacturing settings as an asset
  • Excellent Mathematics skills; numerical proficiency
  • Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking
  • Professional in MS suites and Google Suite
