We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch Wholesale Operations division is the hub of beverage alcohol distribution in British Columbia.

There are three business units; Wholesale Supply Chain, Pricing & Imports and Distribution, working in partnership with suppliers to maintain a resilient and responsive supply chain whilst focusing on exceeding our customers' expectations, and giving back to the communities we serve.

About this role:


Reporting to the Director Wholesale Pricing and Imports, the Manager, Wholesale Imports is responsible for leading the importation of liquor products into the Province of BC.

This position provides expert advice and recommendations regarding all aspects of Customs and Excise related to the LDB's importation of liquor products; and leads and manages the LDB's Wholesale Imports work unit.

Position requirements:


Education and Experience:


  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience (occurring within the last 5 years), in providing expert advice and managing all aspects of Customs and Excise associated with the import of products into the Province of BC.
  • Successful completion of a degree or diploma in finance and/or business administration.
  • Experience working in the alcohol beverage industry.
  • Experience working in a government or regulatory environment.
