Overview:


The Business Manager is responsible for developing our Clinical Diagnostic sales within the Central Canada/Ontario West territory as well as providing customer satisfaction and accurate forecasts for the territory.

The Business Manager is responsible for professionally representing Bio-Rad Laboratories in all sales related activities.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales goals with regards to volume, servicing existing accounts, maintain present business and developing new business for our Clinical customers.
  • Responsible for all customer contact and customer needs in assigned region
  • Maintain knowledge of customer's requirements and potential new business
  • Submit quotations to meet deadlines
  • Provide customers with evaluation material and follow through on results
  • Followup on customer inquiries and make pricing decisions
  • Develop thorough knowledge of all product lines in our Clinical Diagnostics portfolio with awareness of all up to date literature and new product launches
  • Perform product demonstrations and troubleshoot problems
  • Interact with Bio-Rad personnel for the mutual benefit of company sales and growth
  • Responsible for knowledge of current competitor activities and its submission to proper internal sources
  • Keep Customer Service informed of any billing/shipping changes in territory
  • Provide names of available customers for product evaluations
  • Attend Sales Meeting and Training Sessions
  • Review monthly sales analysis reports to identify and act on any drops in volume or lost customers
  • Attend conventions/workshops to advance product knowledge and represent Bio-Rad Laboratories Clinical Diagnostics in a professional manner

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills with the ability to refocus customer objections
  • Proficient in moving a sales opportunity from lead qualification to purchase in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proven organization skills and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in an objective manner

Required Experience

  • Minimum 25 years sales experience in the clinical diagnostic or related field
  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or equivalent Life Science discipline or M.T./A.R.T. certification with demonstrated proficiency and technical knowledge

Other

  • Handling of biological substances from human and animal sources
  • Requires frequent traveling in territory (about 2050%) by car and airplane
