Business Development Specialist - ICI for our
Moncton office.


Recognized North American brand, founded in 1930, Vicwest designs and manufactures metal roofs and wall systems that withstand our harshest climates.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Canada's best known building materials suppliers as the company embarks on a significant growth journey through new product launches & market penetration.

As part of the Kingspan Group, Vicwest has an ambitious sustainability program revolving around the impact of building materials on the environment.


Position Summary:


Reporting to the Sales Manager - ICI Quebec Atlantic, the Business Development Specialist - ICI Atlantic (BDS) is primarily responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with customers and partners in the Atlantic region.

This includes General Contractors, Developers, installers, as well as key architectural and design firms. The goal is to boost sales growth for Vicwest's Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and metal cladding and roofing solutions. The main territory of focus encompasses the Atlantic provinces, with particular emphasis on Nova Scotia/Halifax.


Key responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a sales plan aimed at achieving revenue targets within the Atlantic ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) channel.
  • Foster relationships with general contractors, developers, and other influential decisionmakers to gain insights into their needs and requirements and identify opportunities where Vicwest can provide value.
  • Generate leads through meticulous research, networking, and proactive outreach efforts. Effectively manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely followup and successful deal closures.
  • Identify and target potential customers and strategic partners within the commercial, industrial, and institutional construction sectors. Present Vicwest's value proposition to secure sales opportunities and leads that can translate into project wins.
  • Strengthen Vicwest's market presence by cultivating enhanced partnerships with key accounts, facilitating project tracking, and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key decisionmakers at target accounts.
  • Successfully finalize and close sales with target accounts in the designated region, surpassing financial objectives including sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Utilize CRM tools, such as Salesforce, to track and follow up on projects. Ensure cohesive development and monitoring of projects and opportunities, contributing to the growth of Vicwest sales within the assigned territory.
  • Analyze and comprehend the competitive landscape, including product and market dynamics, and communicate these insights effectively within the organization.
  • Prepare accurate market reports, both structured and ad hoc, while consistently monitoring performance to meet or exceed the territory sales plan on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Stay wellinformed about current product offerings and programs, including knowledge of Vicwest and competitors, enabling the use of facts, data, and information to overcome obstacles and close sales.
  • Provide valuable market feedback to influence product development and inform marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams at Vicwest and AWIP (All Weather Insulated Panels), including marketing, technical support, and customer service, to meet customer requirements and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Actively participate in industry events and trade shows to promote Vicwest's products and services, as well as stay abreast of evolving market trends.
  • Continuously enhance professional and technical knowledge by reviewing product literature, manuals, manufacturer bulletins, and attending relevant seminars whenever available.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related area
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling architecturally specified products
  • Knowledge of/experience in the construction and/or Design Industries
  • Must be able to present a value proposition and overcome price discussion/negotiation.
  • Persuasive communication and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Proven history of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
