The position at a glance
You will join the Production Security department, within IT Production, and work on the automation of IT Security/Cyber Security processes.
In detail
The Production Security department is in charge of the operational security within the BNP Paribas Americas perimeter.
The department is composed of 5 teams: IAM Production, Network Security, Defense Tools/Architecture, Vulnerability Management and Production CSIRT/Logging & Detection.
In this context, the department is looking for a Summer Intern in order to work on:
- Automation of processes, especially leveraging the various tools API, such as:
- Vulnerability mapping controls
- Network behavioral alerts smart closing
- Provisioning of sensitive accesses
- Adding additional data source within the Production Security data warehouse
- Adding consistency controls on the data sets within the data warehouse & references
- Dashboard deployment related to the departments ITIL processes, such as:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Service Request Management
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Student completing their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a graduation date of December 2023 or May 202
- Proficiency in Programming
- Experience with programing languages, esp. scripts (PHP, Python, PowerShell, scriptshell )
- Experience with SQL and SQL Databases
- Interest in Security/Cyber Security

Eligibility:
- The program is opened to all students currently enrolled full time in a Canadian University and meet the following eligibility criteria
- GPA 3.0 or above
- Less than 2 years of work experience
- Pursuing an Undergraduate or Masters' degree
- Has at least one session left of studies after the completion of the internship
- Able to work full time in Montréal during May-August 202
- Cannot be a family member, directly or indirectly, of any current BNP Paribas employee, regardless of location
- A cover letter, written in French or English (maximum of 750 words), briefly explaining how you've made an IMPACT in your community, and why you want to join BNP Paribas and your interest in the role.
