Vice President, Information Technology - Toronto, Canada - Li-Cycle Corp

**Job Summary:Primary Responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor, and train the IT department on all operational activities to ensure performance levels meet company standards and initiatives are met.
- Assist decision makers in identifying recommending, developing, implementing, and supporting cost effective technology solutions for the organization.
- Lead the development and implementation of all information technology initiatives across the organization.
- Ensure that all external service providers deliver necessary operations and project services to support and meet the business requirements.
- Oversee the information and data integrity of the company.
- Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines and equipment
- Establish the development of disaster recovery procedures and plans and ensure ongoing review and certification of these processes
- Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers.
- Create and deliver business cases for technology acquisitions, including creating status reports and findings to senior management.
- Manage the global infrastructure network and understand global specific needs including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Responsible for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and overall system development
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required
- Minimum 10+ years of direct work experience in an IT management capacity required
- Global IT Management experience required
- Ability to travel world wide.
- Extensive knowledge of programming concepts, software development cycles, and associated tools, platforms, and databases
- Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
- Highly effective project management skills, including excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, communication, and execution skills.
- Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills with the ability to develop, inspire and mentor team members.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to nontechnical audiences
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Strong negotiation and prioritization skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of applicable IT laws and regulations globally
- Knowledge of key and emerging issues and trends, challenges and opportunities, current standards, and effective practices in information technology (e.g., cybersecurity, risk management, vendor management
- Experience managing budgets for an IT department
