- $18.00-$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Paid 30 min lunch + 2 x 15 min breaks

You'll be:

Representing GILD in a professional and respectful manner at all times to clients, vendors and employees
Focused on weekly residential maintenance, lawn mowing and softscaping installations
Participating in hardscaping and other projects as needed
Following planting plans and identifying plants
Moving heavy materials and tools
Operating power tools and equipment
Ensuring safety and quality control for all aspects of a project
Performing related duties, as assigned
Working approx hrs / week, Monday
Friday

Operating April

December/end of season (no snow removal)
Meeting at job site/central pick up location

Daily POV:

You meet your team for pick up at a designated spot (Spryfield or Peninsula) and head to the site in Bedford, Dartmouth or Halifax.

By 7:30am you've started mowing the front lawn before moving onto pruning the hedge.

There's a patch in the lawn that needs some overseeding, and you finish by blowing off the driveway so things look picture-perfect for the client.

With the next properties off the list you're back to the meeting spot around 5:00pm. Relax and enjoy the evening - tomorrow is sodding and a garden install

You are physically fit, enjoy working in the great outdoors, and are motivated to do a good job Your role will involve hands-on physical labour, taking instruction from a supervisor, heavy lifting, handling Nova Scotia's wild weather, and being a reliable part of the GILD team.

Experience is an asset, and excitement for learning is a must have.
