We are currently We are seeking a
Furniture Service Technician to work with our
Edmonton Distribution Centre,
St NW, Edmonton.
As a Furniture Service Technician you will be responsible for refinishing furniture at the distribution center and/or in our guests' homes.

As the Furniture Service Technician you will:
- Inspect of all assembled products in the run lane for delivery and assess if products can be restored or must be replaced.
- Restore product to likenew conditions using proven techniques, including refinishing, reupholstery, painting, etc.
- Service damaged stock, wood, fabric, leather, and metal furniture using approved methods.
- Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules, including WHMIS.
- Answer guests' questions during inhome repairs.
- Document and complete service reports and paperwork, including inventory control information.
- Support Quality Control Coordinator in the completion of Product Issue Tracking (PIT.)
- Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) on the service vehicles.
- Attend training on furniture service topics.
- Inspect and validate the repair parts.
- Other duties as required.
- High School diploma with two years of practical work experience in furniture repair, including upholstery, leather repairs, and wood refinishing is an asset.
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn inhouse computer programs.
- Ability to learn inhouse inventory management system.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the company's Values.
- Some exposure to solvents.
- Good physical condition with stamina to lift at least pounds.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
- Able to conduct physical work in warm and cold conditions.
- Operates various equipment (dock levellers, hand trucks, cardboard baler and reach truck, etc.)
- Flexible schedule requirements, including evenings and weekends.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- Criminal Record Check is required.
