NIGHT SHIFT - General Labourer
**$1.00 per hour shift Premium

The General Labourer position is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks including: loading materials into production machines, removing, packing and sorting raw materials or finished products using manual or power equipment.

This position may be responsible for cleaning work areas and equipment performing other tasks as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS: - Some completion of secondary school.

Ability to interpret scale drawings such as blueprints. Read assembly drawings for machines.
Ability to estimate appropriate amount of material to load into a machine. Ability to estimate changes in time and temperature which will be required to correct a production fault.
Ability to solve production issues as they arise, such as conveyer belt shut downs, etc. Follow priorities set by supervisors and sequence their tasks within a set framework. Tasks are generally repetitive.
Ability to interact with coworkers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work. Interact with supervisors to receive work orders.
Ability to work mainly independently. Work with partners to carry out tasks which require cooperation, such as lifting heavy objects.
Ability to use computerized equipment, such as weigh scales or labeling machines. Use computercontrolled equipment to monitor processes, such as casting. Possess drive and motivation to learn continuously on the job. Take training in first aid and in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). Take part in inhouse training sessions to learn about new products or processes.

**RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintenance of the 5S Program through painting lines within the plant as needed.

Fill pop machines, candy machines as necessary.
Assist with janitorial duties when janitors are absent from work.
Run errands for the Maintenance Supervisor as required. Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
