Position Name:
Shipper/Receiver
Full-time: Monday to Friday
Department:
Shipping
Report Timings: 9:30AM - 6PM
Reports To:
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
- Ensuring the efficient handling and movement of goods within our warehouse.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Result Areas of the Position:
- Managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to fulfill orders promptly.
- Proper processing, packaging, and labelling of inventory and customer orders.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate shipment schedules and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing the handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Track and trace shipments and communicate with customers as required.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are organized, meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Generate shipping documents.
- Monthly inventory count.
- Working with dater & number repair to put all components in place for repairs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift, push and carry 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Good hand and eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a multitasked, fast paced multidepartment environment.
- Reliable attendance.
Activities and Tasks:
- Packaging and shipping orders.
- Lift Truck experience.
- Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience
- Preferred.
- Single Source Shipping System.
- Business System Receiving & Shipping.
- Customs Processing.
- End of Day Processing.
- Recycling material handling.
- Maintain good departmental housekeeping according to Health & Safety guidelines.
