We are a family-focused Optometry office passionate about providing comprehensive eye care to individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on vision therapy and rehabilitation, concussion, pediatrics and low vision with an extensive optical to support the visual needs.

We are looking for a friendly, articulate, and high-integrity team player who takes initiative, can multitask, and loves to learn and take on new challenges.

Our Optician is the main contact for patients in selecting the best eyewear strategies for their various lifestyles and visual needs.


You will be Responsible to:


  • Provide exceptional patientcentred care and a positive customer experience.
  • Assist with selection of frames to suit the patients' aesthetic, performance and visual needs, including describing the features and benefits of products in a way that customers will understand.
  • Perform measurements, repairs and adjustments to patients' eyewear.
  • Order, verify, and dispense eyewear.
  • Maintain the inventory of frames, contact lenses, and lenses, and keep current with newest technology and lens designs.
  • Provide guidance and teaching to patients regarding their Contact Lenses.
  • Crosstrain to assist in other administrative duties such as answering phones and pretesting when needed.

Required Skills:


  • Good communication skills, able to use diplomacy in dealing with a variety of individuals, adaptable, approachable and willing to learn.
  • Able to multitask, using time management, organizational and problemsolving skills to work independently in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office, with a knowledge of navigating social media
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an optical environment is preferred
  • Optician License is preferred
