Purpose:


Plans and defines strategic goals, determines the resources required to achieve them, and directs effort to acquire and retain those resources.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensures compliance with operating budget as presented by corporate management.
  • Manages multiple functional disciplines for the business unit; develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies which will have impact on the overall organization.
  • Identifies project opportunities and assists in developing proposals.
  • Participates in writing and review of all major proposals affecting the business unit.
  • Provides technical consultation to customer and Company management as needed.
  • Responsible for the overall technical quality of products produced within business unit.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the business unit.
  • Sets standards and goals; enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all Human Resources policies; recommends additions or revisions as appropriate.
  • Keeps current on technology relevant to the business unit.
  • Participates in professional organizations; may prepare and present technical papers at meetings and seminars.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:


  • Significant experience including technical and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to manage resources for multiple complex projects through others.
  • Experience interfacing with executive management on significant matters influencing the organization's business results, which typically include development and implementation of strategies.
  • Ability to visualize and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to the broader organization as well as functional area of expertise and broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and lead organizational change effectively.
  • Capable of effectively communicating and presenting complex program proposals and resource plans is critical.
  • Proven leadership skills in multicultural and multioffice environments with a cooperative team approach.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
  • Strong expertise in the area of Piping Design and Piping Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of design development, plant layout, equipment, piping layout, construction, etc
- / Prior field and construction support experience.

  • Experience in the development of proposals and manhour estimates.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, execution, and problem solving.
  • Prior resource management and leadership experience.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


Required:


  • Engineering degree from an accredited university.

Preferred:


  • P. Eng. In one or more Canadian jurisdictions.
